Hello! Happy Sunday :)

After holding off from ringing a quarter peal inside for last week's striking competition, this week I did 2. The first on Thursday at St James Garlickhythe, we did Plain Bob Doubles:

It was hot, and I was dripping afterwards. But it was fun! In fact the most fun I've had during a quarter so far, I think because it's the most relaxed I've felt.

And then today, the second, after the service at St Magnus the Martyr (we also rang beforehand):

For that one I didn't ring inside; I volunteered for the treble, which was good for striking practice — I tried not to look at the ropes, instead listening and feeling that rhythm. And the church is excellent in hot weather, because AIR CON!

Besides that, Tuesday ringing was cancelled so I stayed in Stratford-upon-Avon a few hours longer and rang there; it's always a joy to ring with the ol' band. And Wednesday into Bishopsgate as per usual, but only 5 of us dared ventured in the heat. Slow, steady, lovely.

Until next Sunday!
